June 04 what has been going on with mesorry i havent been on here much. I am back. My first grandson was born May 6th he was 20" long and 7lb 9oz. Mom and baby are doing fine. I went there for almost 2 weeks when he arrived. Mom i s already back down to prepregnency weight. I gained up to 172 while there as i didnt exrcise and ate anything i pleased. wow the weight comes back on so easily. I didnt realize how long it has been since i have bee on here. My first week back i lost 7.5 lbs I still have about 5 lbs to be back to the 159 i was at before he was born. I bought em a wi and have been doing the wii active that is a great program. I have also been out side walking as much as i can when it is not raining. Went looking for a treadmill but couldnt find one i like so i have decided that till it gets cold again i will work out side then i will join the gym so i can use the treadmills there. I have also signed up for a womens biathalon in september. I can not wait (pretty excited about that). My goal is to finish not to worry about my position. My sister is also doing it with me so should be fun. It is almost time to have to start doing the overtime but hopefully will still be able to get my exercise in. I am happy with my weight i just dont want to gain any. So i am for the most part staying in maintenance mode. I am still toying with the idea of a tummy tuck or boddy lift if i can maintain until next summer we will see. My focus is more on toning now then on weight. I will put pics of the new grandbaby on the page soon as i get a free moment seems like i am always working or running lately. Hope all is well with everyone and i am ready to get back on track!
Denise April 15 checking in /what a sad show last nightGood morning everyone. I just thought i should check in as i havent in a while. I havent galost in over 3 weeks and this last week i gained like 1.2 which isnt bad nothing that i am worried about. Wow how sad the show last night. That was a tough choice but i think they made the right choice. I hope she continues to work on weight loss at home. With a few oth things. There is always something you can do. Hope everyone else is doing well and had a happy Easter!
Denise March 30 missing blogging whats upok guys sorry i been so busy lately I havent been on here to check on everyone and blog. I have stayed the same weight the last 2 weeks when i weighed in no loss no gain. That is good especially because last week i did no exercise. The plan is to get back to at least an hour of exercise at lunch. I have so much going on at the moment. I still am having trouble with my breathing so my half marathon i wanted to do is out. I am lucky to finish 4.6 miles right now as my chest kills me and my breathing sucks. I hack and cough all evening after running. Oh well maby the dr will figure it out soon and i will get to do it next year. As far as the weight i would love to lose more but if i dont that is ok also. I cant believe it snowed this last weekend but luckily it is already melted. I took last week off trying to get my easter dress finished but that didnt happen but that is ok i think i have it far enough along it should be good by easter. I am so ready for the spring weather. Hope all is well with everyone else. I will try to read and see when i finish here. Have a great losing day!
Denise March 20 TGIFThank God it is Friday. I am so ready for the weekend. Well this week i have got an hour of exercise in a day with the exception of Wed. I also havent donte today yet. But i think today will be either the stairs or maby a walk around for an hour at lunch. I have actually ran my 4.6 miles 2 times this week it was hard with the way my breathing has been lately but i am trying to not let it stop me. That is how i gained the weight in the first place is i have an injury or illness and let my self not exercise. I am not going to let this happen again.. I love the feel you get when you know you just ran 4.6 miles but throughout it i just think ihow much i would like to just stop and walk. I know exercise is better then none but it seems running takes it off of you much faster. I have been having pain in my knee after running also that is another reason i am thinking of doing something besides running today. Usually 1 day and it starts to let up. I have to get past this breathing thing though i truly want to do my first official half marathon this year which i believe is coming up in may. I did my personel one and i finished it good but i want to do this official one. That is the goal i have for now. Have agreat day and i will let you all know how the weigh in goes tommarow. Denise March 14 Great weigh inWell i started this past week trying to sleep an hour longer each night. That is hard when you are used to not sleeping that long. I also did not exercise 3 or even 2 hours a day. I was lucky to get 30 min to an hour a day. This is do partly to my breathing problems but any way it was still a good week with watching what i am eating i still was able to lose 1.2lbs. I had mentioned last week i believe that according to my waist to hip ratio i am good. Now my bmi is finally in the good range and 1 more lb my weight will be with in the range for my height. I will still be struggling to watch what i eat and fit in as much exercise as i can as i still would like to be 140 but it is not worth killing myself and some of us i guess are not truly ment to be that small. I also will continue to struggle as i know if i lose my focus i will go back up just like i did before christmas. The sad thing is it took almost 3 months to lose that little gain. I know this is and will be a life long struggle. Keep on working so hard! Thanks to everyone here supportingme in my ups and downs and i just pray to continue losing even though if i dont i can be happy with it. Have a great weekend! Denise March 07 Drs apti forgot to tell everyone the dr says i do not have another Pulmonary embolism but she has a few more test to run on me. I am back on my inhaler but that is something like my blood thinners that i will probably always be on as i have no control over the damage that was previously done to my lung. I also am back on cholesterol medicine this is all very frustrating but like the dr said i should be proud and that she thinks that my ldl # is more up because of genetics as she know it is not my weight or lifestyle as i have came along way. Denise weigh inWow i really had not exercised much this week only 1 hour all week. i got up this morning expecting to gain and actually i had lost. I was plesently surprised. Needless to say yes i would like to see my self lose more weight but the thing is i was reading Jillians blog page yesterday and it was saying how weight charts are not good because of different sizes and bmi is not good as it does not take in to consideration for muscle and or fat. She said the best way to determine where you should be is hip to waist ratio. for women it should be .80 or less when i figured mine i am at .76. I have decide that starting this week coming up to allow my self to sleep an hour longer and to get my exercise either an hour at lunch or an hour at night. I am going to maintenance mode but still watching my calories. We will see what happens. but the thing is i will be only doing an hour a day minimum compared to trying to keep up with 2-3 hours a day. If i notice my weight fluctauaating up alot i will have to go back but we will see. I know it is a life style change and it is for the rest of my life but no need for the 2 and or 3 hours a day now. Denise March 04 mid week and Drs apt yesterday/ biggest loser last nightSo as most of you know the last couple weeks i have had back and breathing problems. Went to dr yesterday and she did a ct and they sent me home. which is a good thing as she had said if they found another clot i would be staying. Still not sure what the problem is she is supposed to call me today. But i figure long as it is not a PE (Pulmonary Embolism) then it is time to get my but back in to gear so tonight will be my first workout in over a week. I talked to my doctor as i feel i still have more to lose and she said If you have never been small you may not get there. Like my big sister she said she is very happy with my progress as i had lost another 10 lbs since i seen her the last time. I told her i am the smallest right now that i have ever been. Even when i was in the 130s right after basic i didnt wear an 8 although in some clothes i still dont wear an 8 it just depends on how they are made. Like my sister says that is just a number. I decided a few weeks ago to not be hard on my self and that if i lose i will be exstatic if i dont gain more then 2 lbs i will be ok. My doctor also said like my sister that she thinks i am being to hard on my self. ok so i am dieing to see the end of last nights show i hate cliff hangers like that! Denise March 02 last sat weigh inOk so i didnt get a chance to blog all weekend. I did not lose nor gain. So i am still at 162. I guess i cant complain as i didnt exercise last week do to my back problem. I go to dr tommarow and i am hoping to get back to exercising tomarow evening. Long as the dr dont find anything wrong with the back i am going back to it. Work through the pain. It does not seem to hurt quite as bad mainly only when i breathe deep now. . hope everyone had a good weekend and keep up the hard work.
Denise February 24 Happy Fat TuesdayHappy Fat Tuesday ! To any of you who plan to participate in mardi gra parties be cautious about what you eat. My work decided to have a lunch to celebrate today so i went looking for a recipe and many were truly loaded with calories. I did find a recipe that does not seem bad as a matter of fact comes out to be about 220 calories per serving. Although i was checking out the king cake as we are having one of those also. Man 1 slice is 465 calories. That would be alot of exercise to make up for. With my back not cooperating i cant afford the extra calories. Have a fun and great day though!
Denise February 23 weigh inOk so i couldnt get this site to let me type last week. I gained a bit up to 162 and then this week i didnt gain or lose so still at 162. I cut back on exercise last thursday as i was having alot of back pain. I didnt exercise last friday , sat or sunday. I went ahead and exercised this morning as i cant not exercise i dont want to be gaining. I am paying for it now though my back is hurting pretty good at this moment. Needless to say i am really toren as i know i need to exercise. my husband is out of town this week and i could exercise as much as i want but not sure that is going to happen with the way my back is feeling. May try my gazzell tonight and see if it aggravates it. This morning was the biggest loser bootcamp which always brings me to a good sweat. oh well we will see how bad it is bothering me when i get off work this evening. Good Luck to everyone this week.
Denise February 07 weigh inwow maby i should get sick more often. i barely got in 4 hours of workout time this week and still lost. My weigh in this morning is 160.8 that is a loss of 3 lbs. I am ready to try and get a good week of workouts in this week so we will see. I like to at a minimum get in an hour a day but i shouot for 2 (since it is so cold) In the spring i will possiably go back to running on my lunch if my new requested schedule does not get approved. I should hear about that by the end of the month. I put in for a 4 day work week i sure could go for that. Not much planned this weekend i am going to work on the church library today and to decorate for our valentines banquet which is tommarow. That will be a tough one always good food there. Well have a great weekend and i will catch you all later.
Denise February 04 mid week not such a good week so farWell it so far has not been a real good week for me. Sunday i deceded i needed to finish my skirt for this coming sunday and through the week i never seem to have the time. Monday my husband came down with the flu sunday night so i was up all night with him there was no way i could get up to exercise and then i took him to the dr monday afternoon and tryed to continue taking care of him needless to say 2 days no exercise well then Monday night i got sick but not as bad as him so not sure if it was flu or something i ate. I slept pretty much all day yesterday even ended up getting him to record biggest loser as i felt so rotten yesterday i wasnt staying awake much. I am feeling much better this morning and got in 40 minutes on the gazelle started to do bobs bootcamp but kept getting dizzy and feeling like i was going to pass out i figure it was becaus i hadnt really ate anything since Monday. Although i am back on track. Hope everyone is having a great week.
Denise January 31 weigh inToday was not a great weigh in but i am not going to kill myself over it. I gained 1.6 this week. My big thing right now is i am happy with the weeight other then according to the dr i am still overweight. I have alot of toning that needs to be done more then anything. I also went to buy a pattern the other day and In sewing patterns i still need the big girl sizes and the every day normal pattern sizes i need to lose at least another 4 inches from my waist. My sister says maby i should do more crunches and make sure i am doing them right. So i think that is what i am going to do. Also more then the number i am working to be toned now. Oh well have a great weekend and i will catch you all later.
Denise January 29 missingsorry i did not log my weigh in last sat. I guess i kind of felt like no reason to as i only lost an ounce but that is better then none. I hope all is doing well this week. I am doing ok but i havent got all my normal exercise in. So my numbers will not be as good for the challenge this week. The plan is to try to stay under calorie wise and hit the exercise really hard next week. 2 more days till this weeks weigh in for me. I fell asleep right after the final team weighed in Tuesday night didnt even get to see the teams kick any one off had to look it up on the internet to find out who it was. Oh well hope everyone is having a good week.
Denise January 17 weigh inNot a overwelming weigh in but i did lose i am at 162.2 this morning that is a drop of 1.4. You know for me that is better then a gain or nothing besides i am really trying to be happy with the progress i have made while still striving for even lower. I missed my workout last night i just was so cold i just wanted to stay under the blanket other then that and wed i have got all my workouts in this week. I just am going to have to step it back up. have a great losing weekend catch you all on Monday.
Denise January 16 cold weather questionok i dont know if it is just me or what. But i seem to be hungrier since the cold snap hit. All this week i seem to feel hungry all the time. I havent gave in to it but man i feel hungry and it is hard to make myself get out from under covers and workout. Any one else having this problem. I went to lunch yesterday with my boss he took my coworkers and i to lunch for the hollidays didnt get to do it before the holidays. I managed to stay good there also. I had a salad and a cup of soup. Everyone else was doing the appetizer and desert thing but i stood strong. It was hard watching and smelling all that. With any luck i will have a good weigh in tommarow. We will see. I bought the biggest loser desk calander and today there is a recipe that really sounds good i thought some of you may want to try. It is take a wine glass fill half full with either bluberries or fresh sliced strawberrie top with 1/2 cup fat free ricotta cheese then drizzle with honey and sprinkel with cinnamon. Denise January 14 biggest loser last nightWow what a show last night. It was good to see all the team work rather then the fighting of the previous season. I was sad to see Jerry get sent home but after listining to their reasoning i understand. He looks really good in the end picture. I hope he comes back as the biggest loser at home winner. that challenge was awsome also. How great to see those that had made it go back for the last guy and to encourage this world needs alot more of that. So far i have been having a pretty good week. I have got my exercise in every day and have done good for the most part with my eating. I got my new biggest loser bootcamp dvd that i have been doing this week. I really like it. Bob is a wonderful trainer would love to have him for a few sessions as my personel trainer. Imagine my surprise when i went to open my extra gum and noticed there was a contest to when 4 train ing sessions in LA with him. I will be entering every day to try and win! I hadnt heard about this before today. Maby it is on the biggest loser legue page but i hadnt noticed it. It actually started Dec 2 i think. Well time to get to work have a great losing day!
Denise January 10 transformation 08Photo Layout Horizontal 6.html Well it was a good week i have lost another 2 lbs this week better then none. I wish i had been a little more careful at christmas but that is ok i enjoyed my self. If you look in my photos above there is one that says transformations that i made to put in my blog but cant seem to get it to go been working on it all day so decided to just add it to my photos. It is a look back from where i started till now. I started out 08 at 210 lbs and i am now at 163.6 and at one time had made it to 159. below is the difference in measurements

January 07 new season last nightI enjoyed the new season last night other then my husband being a bit of a pain. Only thing is because he didnt want me to exercise i got the first hour in but the second one he came in to go to bed so i couldnt exercise I stayed awake till the brown team had weighed in so i didnt see who went home or what the catch in the whole thing is. I have been looking for a replay of that end after the brown team weighed in but cant seem to find one yet. Any one know of where there is replays of last nights show or can tell me all the great details please do so. I am going to have to stay setting up in the future then i wont fall asleep. I always watch it in my bedroom and exercise while it is on but i didnt exercise the whole 2 and layed down in the bed. Puts me to sleep every time with out fail.
